Intercom & Door Entry

Door entry, intercom and access systems installed and repaired — wired reliably from the door to wherever it needs to ring.

What door entry work actually involves

Wired video and audio intercom systems, installed so the run from the door panel to the handset is reliable rather than marginal.

Door release wiring is part of it, so entry can be operated from where it actually needs to be answered.

Repairs to existing intercom systems that have stopped working are covered as well — often a wiring or power supply fault rather than the handset itself, so the system gets tested before anything is replaced.

  • Wired video and audio intercom systems
  • Door release wiring
  • Repairs to existing systems that have stopped working
  • Faults traced to wiring or power supply before replacing units
  • Tested on completion

Common questions

My intercom has stopped working — is it broken or is it wiring?
More often than not it's a wiring or power supply fault rather than the handset itself. We test the system end to end before replacing anything, so you're not paying for a new unit when the problem was a loose connection.
Video or audio-only?
Video gives you a visual check before opening the door, which most people prefer now the units aren't much more expensive than audio-only. We'll talk through both against your entrance and budget.
Can the intercom connect to my phone or an app?
Depends on the system — some units support remote answering via an app, others are handset-only. We'll set out what's realistic for your property before you commit to a system.
Does an apartment install work differently to a house?
Yes — apartment systems usually tie into a building's existing entry panel, so we coordinate with the management company or existing system rather than starting from scratch the way we would for a house.
